the start of the shop, we made many goldsmith and silversmith products,
repairs, restorations. We usually receive special jewelleries, unaccepted
for repair by other jewellery shops. At Splendor, we love this hard,
challenging repairs.

Customers are coming to our
place with different questions. Some customer would like to know
the weight of a ring, someone just would like to check if the
item is gold, does it contain hallmark, want a general maintenance
or cleaning, replace the gems, engraving repair, matte-repair,
or any other kind of repairs. |

It isn't rare to restore
an item, injured in a serious accident. We have to replace old,
antique ornaments, the stolen or missing jewelries. Sometimes
it is a challenging task because hard to find components and
samples from the original item.

The worn-out necklaces, rings, damaged
bracelets are hard to repair.

Sometimes we have to replace material,
it is very hard to find the properties of the alloy.

Previously the silversmith were using
different silver-alloys. It was very hard to work with it..

That's why they often repaired items
with tin-solder, what is actually the enemy of the precious-metals.

Hard to replace gems as well: to find
a gem with the same color, size and shape could be very time
consuming task.

To repair gem-sockets, sometimes we
have to disassemble the jewelry.
