2003
Our shop had begun
to grow significantly this year. A growing number of people gained
knowledge of us via our website and we have also been able to invest
in new tools which not only give way to new possibilities but make
our work more economical and of higher quality. Moreover, our number
of staff has increased from four to seven members as well as some
outside help, which also strengthens our work capacity. We have received
several interesting and challenging commissions and are able to make
plans for the future. Through creating our state-of-the-art novelty
jewellery, we have gathered a great amount of experience and want
to fulfil some sort of pioneer role in the goldsmith field- although
it is a slow and unsure process.

At the beginning of May
Nok Lapja (Hungary’s longest standing women’s magazine)
had published an article about us, which raised public awareness
of our shop. The effect of the article could be felt in a boost
in sales after the article appeared. We also greatly appreciated
the positive reaction of our friends and regular customers.

As before, we did not
miss any chances to compete with fellow craftspeople.
Tahitian Pearl
Trophy 2004
The National Final of
the Tahitian Pearl Trophy was held at the beginning of November
2003. The judges were made up of public figures, highly esteemed
goldsmiths, members of the press, as well as individuals from
other walks of life. This year we entered six different objects
in the competition and got very favourable results. We won
third prize in two categories as well as receiving a special
prize from the press and a Grand Prix prize.

About
the jewellery...
|
|

|
|
Our success was preceded by considerable
investments and developments which were an outcome of a business
association that had turned our attention in the direction of
mobile phones. We decided to craft unique state-of-the-art precious
metal mobile phones and accessories, blending the youthful energy
of high technology with our creative input.

About
the jewellery...
|
|
We are most proud of the jewel
mobile phone, which we had entered into the “male jewellery”
category. This item awarded up the Special Prize of the Press
along with the Grand Prix prize, which allowed us to continue
to the International Finals.
Thus two
of our pieces competed in the international competition in Hong
Kong where we represented our country.

The first signs of the telephone’s
success...
|
|
During the weeks following
the Final we received a considerable amount of media attention.
We appeared on various national television channels and several
newspapers and magazines covered our success. The main story
was of course Frutto Di Mare, due to its uniqueness and incredible
statistical data.
Therefore the long awaited rest
after three months of intensive labouring over the telephone
did not come about.
We took part in a two day “by invitation
only” event held in the Hungarian Museum of Applied Arts
alongside a Christian Dior fashion show.
